YELLOW SUMMER-IN

This is a very summer-ish nail art. Its really easy and quick to do!
On the thumbs there are cute ice creams!!

What you need: a sponge ( I used the ones used for eyeshadow), a thin brush, nail polish drops. [See this nail art for how to make nail polish drops]

Colors:

Smalti

  • Base Coat: Debby nail THERAPY smoothing base + minerals
  • White: KIKO No: 101
  • Yellow: RIVEEL No. 190
  • Light Blue: KIKO No. 159
  • Orange: KIKO No. 112
  • Brown: STARSTYLE No: 17
  • Gold: Deborah Shine TECH No: 21
  • Dark Brown: COLLISTAR No: 42 MELANZANA GLITTER
  • Top Coat: Deborah 7 Days Long No.00

How to:

  1. 02b Apply your base coat.
  2. 03b Apply two coat of white polish.
  3. 04b With the the sponge make some lines alternating the two colors.
  4. 05b Add a line in the white part using the brush.
  5. 06b On the thumb make an ice cream. First using the brush, draw a brown triangle, on a side use the gold polish and on the other side use the dark brown to make a few lines to give the ice cream a 3D effect. When dry use the drop of polish to make the upper part of the ice cream.

PURPLE MIST

This is my first nail art made with water. This technique is really easy and fun, maybe a little messy!
What you need: a bowl with water, a toothpick.
Colors:
Smalti
  • Base Coat: Deborah 7 Days Long No.00
  • Glitter Purple: KIKO No. 167
  • Lilac: MAYBELLINE Water Shine No. 24 Simply Mauve
  • Brown: KIKO No. 224
  • Fish Scale Glitter: KIKO No. 170
How to:
  1. 02b Apply your base coat.
  2. Immagine 004 Drop some nail polish on the water. Here I used the colors in this order: purple, lilac, brown. Dip your nails in the water. With the toothpick remove the polish left over on the water and then take it off. On youtube there are a lot of videos with this technique (search: "water marble effect").
  3. 03b I did it two or three times to have the stripes in different direction. Remove the polish on your skin and from the back of your nails.
  4. 04b Last, I've added some fish scale glitter. I really like how the green/blue glitter goes with the purple.

METALLIC WAVES

Here is my new pedi.

The result is different from what I planned but I really like it.

What you need: a thin brush.

Colors:

Smalti
  • Base Coat: Deborah 7 Days Long No.00
  • Blu: COLLISTAR No. 44 BLU
  • White: KIKO No. 101
  • Glitter Gold: KIKO No. 164

How to:

  1. 02b Apply a base coat.
  2. 03b Draw the stripes. You don't have to be perfect. Be sure to put a lot of polish.
  3. 04b With the brush, mix the colors. You can go in one or more directions. Clean the polish on your skin. At this point I already liked the result but I wanted to add some glitter to make it more mettalic and eye-catching.
  4. 05b I added some gold glitter. It's really sparkling and it hides the imperfections.

JULY 4TH FIREWORKS

Today is the 4th of July, so even if I'm not American I've made this nails.

At first I wanted to do "U.S.A. flag nails" but I tought it was too common so I choose this fireworks. You can made it even if it's not the 4th of July!!

In the picture there is only one hand because, since I didn't have a lot of time, I've made only one hand. When I'm done I will update with both hands. (I wanted to post this soon or it will be too late!).
I've changed my mind. I wanted to try something new so I removed the fireworks. Sorry if you wanted to see the whole result.

What you need: a thin brush, different colors of nail polish, clear rhinestones.

Colors: (this are the colors used for the base, for the fireworks you can use all the colors that you want!)

Smalti

  • Base Coat: Broadway Nail Care No. 04
  • Black: Deborah Shine TECH No. 30
  • Silver Glitter: RIVEEL No. 131
  • Top Coat: Deborah 7 Days Long No.00

How to:

  1. 02b Apply your base coat.
  2. 03b Apply a coat of black polish. Apply a second coat if needed.
  3. 04b Apply some silver glitter for make a starry sky. (Actually to me this is more like the universe, I really like it. I will do a "universe nail art" someday!)
  4. 05b Draw the fireworks and apply rhinestones in the middle. If you want, use different colors on each finger.

How to draw fireworks step-by-step:

fireworks

  1. Drop some nail polish in the midlle of your nail and add some rays (like a sun).
  2. Cover with a darker color and add some more rays.
  3. Add another darker color and some rays.
  4. With a white polish make some dots over the rays. Leave the middle empty for the rhinestone.
  5. Cover the white dots with some silver polish.
  6. Cover the rays with the gold dots and add some also outside the firework.

Here is the final result. Change the colors and positions of the fireworks and have fun!
